Gas from the Hides, Angore, and Juha fields together with gas from oil fields at Kutubu in the Southern Highlands of PNG will be conditioned and transported 700 km to a 6.6 MT/A Liquefied Natural Gas plant near Port Moresby for export to Asian clients. EPC contracts for the project have been let for Early Works – Upstream, Early Works – LNG Plant Site, the LNG Plant, Offshore Pipeline, the Gas Conditioning Plant, the Onshore Pipeline,  the Komo Airfield, and the LNG Export Jetty. ICN, in conjunction with the Australian Trade Commissioner in Port Moresby, has been working with some of the above EPCs and is working to contact the others in order to promote the use of Australian goods and services.
