BHP Billiton selected Bechtel to be the contractor for its Brisbane Hub, an integrated office for planning, executing and optimising multiple projects over an extended period

The proposed expansion is centred on the creation of a new open-pit mine that would operate simultaneously with the existing underground mine. The proposed expansion would be a progressive development, requiring construction activity over several stages. ICNSA and BHP Billiton have set up a website where companies can register their interest in supplying to both the existing operation and the proposed expanded operation.

The project is based upon the purchase of an underground mobile fleet, to be used for development & production operations, which includes gateroad & bord & pillar mining methods .

The Galilee Coal Project (Northern Export Facility), also known as the China First Project, is an integrated project to develop a new coal mine, high capacity rail system and coal export facilities to export high volatile low sulphur steaming coal to international markets.

The Moranbah Region Expansion Project (the Project) involves the expansion of Anglo American’s existing Moranbah coal deposits.  The Project involves the development of new mines adjacent to its current Moranbah North operations.

The Wonarah Phosphate Project is the companys lead project and will establish Minemakers as a producer and a significant player in the rock phosphate business.
