Box Hill Hospital was built in 1956 and has been serving the local community for 55 years. With the increase in demand for healthcare services in Melbourne’s east, the hospital is receiving a much-needed redevelopment to enable it to continue to provide high quality healthcare services, both now and in the future. Baulderstone Pty Ltd (BPL) has been chosen as the managing contractor to build the new clinical services block and undertake some refurbishment of the existing hospital. BPL has an excellent track record in delivering Victorian health projects, including the Royal Women's, Austin and Mercy hospitals. BPL is one of Australia's largest building and engineering companies and is highly experienced in managing the special and sensitive needs of hospital construction close to an operating hospital.

The Ichthys project will be the largest oil and gas development in the Northern Territory and it will attract other industries such as transport, health, and professional services to the area.

The South Australian Government has a strategic vision to deliver to the Adelaide metropolitan area a non-stop north-south corridor to provide for the movement of goods and people between the Port River Expressway and Southern Expressway. South Road is the only continuous transport link between these areas and is crucial for the community, businesses and industry.

The next construction priority for South Road is at the northern end between the Port River Expressway and Regency Road, approximately 4.8 kilometres in length. The innovative corridor solution features an elevated road bridge, approximately 2.8 kilometres in length, including multiple lanes in each direction above the existing South Road alignment.

On 17 February 2010 the government announced the construction of a duplicated Southern Expressway. The project also includes extension of the existing road and pedestrian bridges across the expressway and upgrades to the existing interchanges. The total cost of the project is $407.5 million.

The Strategic Indigenous Housing and Infrastructure Program (SIHIP), is a jointly funded program of the Australian and Northern Territory Governments. It will invest $672 million over five years in Indigenous communities across the Territory.
