The proposed expansion is centred on the creation of a new open-pit mine that would operate simultaneously with the existing underground mine. The proposed expansion would be a progressive development, requiring construction activity over several stages. ICNSA and BHP Billiton have set up a website where companies can register their interest in supplying to both the existing operation and the proposed expanded operation.

The Moranbah Region Expansion Project (the Project) involves the expansion of Anglo American’s existing Moranbah coal deposits.  The Project involves the development of new mines adjacent to its current Moranbah North operations.

Those who are leaving or have left the forestry industry in particular are encouraged to register here giving details pertaining to the plant, equipment and operators they have available that may be of value for dam building.  Tasmanian Irrigation tenders the construction of infrastructure to independent contractors but will make the register available to those tendering and to the successful contractors. 

The Tasmanian Irrigation  was established as a registered company by the Tasmanian Government in September 2008 to progress a suite of regionally significant irrigation schemes in many parts of Tasmania.
